Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg is committed to building at least 10 homes a year.

To accomplish this task means considerable community support. As Habitat’s productivity increases, our base of support needs to expand as well.

We are in need of partners all year round to sponsor a Habitat home!

There are many ways businesses, faith groups, civic organizations and individuals can sponsor a home:

  • Financially sponsor the $125,000 cost of a home and supply all or part of the labor toward building a new home.  Having your name on the house and all the publicity received will reflect your commitment to our community.
  • Team up with other area individuals, churches, businesses or organizations to financially undertake half the cost, a quarter of the cost or some other mutually-agreed upon percentage of a Habitat house.  This endeavor reinforces and reflects community pride, teamwork, commitment and involvement.
  • Put Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg in your annual budget for charitable contributions. We understand the levels of contributions may vary, and we list all donors in our Annual Report.

Habitat’s credibility and your lasting contribution in the community make this mission an appealing project for everyone. As a community resident, you know the need for affordable housing for hardworking families and for the positive aesthetic appearance of our community.

Want to invest in the community?

DONATE NOW

We help as many families as we can, but the lack of decent and affordable housing remains a critical problem in our area. By donating, you will provide upfront funding for building materials and services that makes interest-free loans to Habitat partner families possible. Habitat partner families help to build their own homes - alongside volunteers - and pay an affordable mortgage. Your monetary donations enable us to continue building strength, stability and independence for future local families.
