Building on Faith is Habitat for Humanity’s annual celebration of our faith partnerships. Without the support of our area faith groups and congregations, we could not provide safe, decent affordable homes for low-income families to purchase.

On Saturday, June 1, at 10:30AM, we will break ground on this Building on Faith home for the Owens family! The address is 8 Fulton Street in Hampton, Virginia. We hope to see you there!

This gorgeous home, sponsored and built by Newport News Shipbuilding, is under construction in Phoebus! We created this house design to match the neighborhood.

Habitat doesn't normally build two story homes in order to keep our volunteers safe, but we do want to blend in with the communities in which we build. The neighborhood also has many Victorian-style homes, which we wanted to match.

This will be home to the Wynder family!

On Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 11:30 a.m., HabitatPGW and building sponsor Anheuser Busch held a dedication ceremony for the Morisset family home in James City County!

The excited homeowner is Laurena Morisset, who was born and raised in Haiti and moved to America in 1998. She lives and works in Williamsburg.  Laurena has three children that live with her.  Ana, age 20, had an unfortunate case of meningitis as a child that has left her with symptoms akin to cerebral palsy.  Her daughter, Marguerite is 17 and will be a senior at War Hill High School in the fall.  Laurena’s youngest; Ishmael age 12 will be in the 8th grade at Hornsby Middle School in the fall.  The three-bedroom, two-bathroom home will be fully accessible so Ana can live at home safely with her family.

Anheuser-Busch is the leading American brewer, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch InBev, the leading global brewer.  Anheuser-Busch InBev ranked No. 1 among beer companies in FORTUNE Magazine's World’s Most Admired Companies list in 2011. Anheuser-Busch was recognized by FORTUNE’s ranking as the top beverage company in quality of products, social responsibility, global competitiveness and people management. For more information about Anheuser-Busch, visit anheuserbusch.com.

Special thanks to Lumber Liquidators and Cunningham Contracting as well for your support!
