Habitat is committed to building at least ten homes a year. To accomplish this task means considerable community support. As Habitat's productivity increases, our base of support needs to expand as well. We are in need of new companies every year to sponsor a Habitat home!!
There are many ways you can become a House Sponsor! You or your company can:
For companies, Habitat can be an important and stimulating partner. Habitat's credibility, name recognition, neutrality and lasting contribution in the community make this mission an appealing project for your company.
As a Virginia company, you know the importance of the strength of our tax base, the availability of safe, decent, affordable housing for hard-working families, and the aesthetic appearance of our community. Habitat for Humanity is an important asset for any city and a good investment for corporate neighbors!

There are many ways you can become a House Sponsor! You or your company can:
- Financially sponsor the $75,000 cost of a home and supply all or part of the labor toward building a new home. Your name on the house and all the publicity received will reflect your commitment to our community.
- Team up with other area businesses or organizations to financially undertake half the cost ($37,500), a quarter of the cost ($18,750) or some other mutually-agreed upon percentage of a Habitat House. This endeavor reinforces and reflects community pride, teamwork, commitment and involvement.
- Put Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg in your budget for charitable contributions. The levels of contributions may vary, and we list all donors in our Annual Report.
