Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg cordially invites you to a Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for Karen Boykins and her family.
The ceremony will take place on Maplewood Avenue in Hampton.
This fun and moving ceremony will last less than 30 minutes and is very casual. The ceremony will be held rain or shine, and refreshments will be available afterward.
Karen has been employed at a local dental office as a business assistant since 2016. Karen is the mother of 2 beautiful daughters. She also has a 24 year old son.
This beautiful Habitat home was sponsored by our amazing community partners at Old Point National Bank.
Join us as we break ground on home for Vickie Lane and her family.
The ceremony will take place on Union St. in Hampton.
Our groundbreaking ceremonies last about 30 minutes and are held rain or shine.
The construction of this home is being supported by our good friends and Building On Faith partners at St. John's Episcopal Church Hampton, First Baptist Church of Hampton in honor of Reverend Dr. Joan S. Parrott, and First Presbyterian Church of Hampton.
Please join us as we break ground on the 16th home sponsored by Newport News Shipbuilding, in memory of Ron Nelson (longtime Habitat construction supervisor) and in memory of Everett Jordan (longtime Shipyard employee). These visionary men met at the start of the Shipyard-Habitat partnership over 15 years ago and, as a result, a friendship was born. Ron worked tirelessly with Habitat since 1999, building a majority of the homes we sell in partnership with low- and moderate-income families. Everett spent 44 years with the Shipyard in a variety of jobs, ultimately retiring as the director of the Apprentice School.
The ceremony will take place at 646 Hampton Avenue in Newport News.
This Shipyard house is special because it will celebrate the lives of both Ron and Everett, two very special people!
We hope you will join us for this ceremony!
