We have two important events coming up in the next few weeks!
The 5th Annual Golf Tournament is next Monday, September 24th at James River Country Club. It's not too late to put in a team or to become a sponsor! You can read more about the wonderful event and our current sponsors at the Habitat golf page. Tysinger's Build a Dream, Leave a Legacy -- Citizens of the Year event to benefit Habitat for Humanity will be held Thursday, October 4th at Tysinger Motor Company. Purchase admission for two and be automatically entered for a chance to win $15,000 cash, a free smart car or a 3-year lease on Mercedes-Benz! Details can be found here. For this year's United Way Day of Caring (held Friday, September 14, 2012), Habitat partnered with NASA Langley and Old Point National Bank! Ten NASA Langley employees joined Habitat to construct a home on 29th Street in Newport News. This home is being built for the White family and is sponsored by 1st Advantage Federal Credit Union, Bank of America, Matt & Cathy McQuade and Wells Fargo! Five Old Point National Bank employees volunteered with us at the Habitat ReStore in Newport News, helping to paint a building we use for storage! Thanks everyone who took time out of their day to support Habitat for Humanity for the UW Day of Caring! Click a photo to view larger.
